Cual es mejor televisor samsung o lg12/12/2023 The TV's good response time makes it a great choice for fans of sports or action movies, and when combined with the TV's low input lag, it's also a great choice as a cheap gaming TV. However, it doesn't have a local dimming feature to improve the contrast. On the other hand, like the high-end models, it performs well in dark rooms thanks to its decent native contrast ratio and great black uniformity, resulting in deep blacks with no blooming around bright objects. Unlike Samsung's more expensive models, like the Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED and Samsung Q80/Q80B QLED, it doesn't use quantum dot technology and can't display a wide color gamut, so even though it supports HDR, it can't display it properly. It's available in a wide range of sizes, from 43 to 85 inches, so there's a model for any room size. ![]() Although Samsung doesn't release many budget models anymore, especially in North America, this TV offers decent overall performance at a low cost. The Samsung CU7000/CU7000D is the best budget Samsung TV we've tested. Its successor, the Samsung Q80C QLED, is a bit better but more expensive, so it's not worth the purchase compared to its predecessor. It runs the 2022 version of the Tizen OS interface, with a huge selection of streaming apps and an easy-to-use interface. Like most Samsung TVs, it has great gaming features, and all four HDMI ports support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for console gamers. ![]() Unfortunately, this wider viewing angle comes at the expense of contrast, so it doesn't look as good as the Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED or the Samsung S90C OLED in a dark room. Unlike most mid-range TVs, it also has a wide viewing angle, making it a great choice for a wide seating arrangement, as the image remains consistent even when viewed from the side. Stepping up from the Samsung CU7000/CU7000D, it's a good TV overall, with excellent peak brightness in SDR and decent reflection handling, so it performs well in a bright living area. If you want better picture quality without breaking the bank, the Samsung Q80/Q80B QLED is the best mid-range Samsung TV we've tested. Otherwise, they're very similar TVs, so grab the cheapest one you can find, although the QN90B is becoming quite hard to find in certain sizes, while the QN90C is readily available. It doesn't come with the Samsung QN90B QLED's 'Ultra Viewing Angle' technology, so its viewing angle is slightly narrower, but it also doesn't have the older model's distracting rainbow smearing. On the other hand, it's a better choice for watching shows in bright rooms because it has fantastic reflection handling and easily gets bright enough to fight glare, so visibility isn't an issue even in the brightest rooms. It's not quite as good as Samsung's OLEDs in a dark room, though, as there's still some blooming around bright objects, and blacks aren't perfectly deep and inky. It's an excellent TV with a great selection of features, so there's something for everyone. Alongside the Samsung QN95C QLED, it's Samsung's flagship 4k LED TV for 2023, featuring an impressive Mini LED backlight to increase the appearance of small highlights and reduce blooming in dark scenes. The Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED is the best upper mid-range Samsung TV we've tested. ![]() For a similar price, the newer model is the clear choice, but if you can find the older model on clearance, it's a great value pick. Otherwise, 2022's Samsung S95B OLED is very similar to the Samsung S90C OLED, although it's a bit dimmer, doesn't have official 4k 144Hz support, and is only available in a 55 and 65-inch format. The price of the S95C is significantly higher than the S90C's, though, so it's not worth buying over it. The more expensive model sports a refreshed design that looks incredible when wall-mounted, thanks to its uniform design and incredibly thin bezels, and it now comes with an external Slim One Connect box to keep your cable setup clean. The S90C sits just below the higher-tier Samsung S95C OLED. Like most high-end Samsung TVs, it has a wide array of extra features, including 4k 144Hz support from the new-gen consoles or a recent PC graphics card. It's a fantastic TV overall with impressive picture quality. It combines the deep inky blacks of LG Display's OLED technology with Samsung's Quantum Dot technology, resulting in a wider color gamut and brighter colors than traditional OLED TVs made with LG Display panels. ![]() The Samsung S90C OLED is the best Samsung TV we've tested. Zen 3 stock12/11/2023 ![]() The $449 Ryzen 7 5800X comes with eight cores and 16 threads, just like its previous-gen Ryzen 7 3800XT counterpart, but again comes with a $50 markup. Let's not forget that AMD claims the 5900X is faster in gaming than either of those Intel chips, though, and even faster in applications. The 10850K offers essentially the same performance as the pricier 10900K in gaming but weighs in at $96 less than the 5900X. If all you care about is gaming, Intel's $453 Core i9-10850K also slots into this bracket. Meanwhile, Intel's 10-core 20-thread Core i9-10900K slots in for $60 less than the 5900X ($77 less if you choose to go with the graphics-less F-series model). The chips' base frequency declines 200 MHz compared to the 3900XT, but the boost frequency reaches 4.8 GHz (a 100 MHz increase). The 12-core 24-thread $549 Ryzen 9 5900X comes with a $50 markup over the previous-gen 3900XT. Even with the far-below-MSRP pricing that comes as a byproduct of its woefully inadequate performance compared to Threadripper 3000 chips, we don't see the 10980XE as a serious contender for the 5950X due to the reasons listed here. This 18C/36T chip now retails around $815 but requires a pricey HEDT motherboard and quad-channel memory. Intel does have a dark horse, however, that comes in the form of the Core i9-10980XE. Intel doesn't have an answer for the 5950X on its mainstream platforms - it already can't contend with the Ryzen 9 3950X. AMD's 5950X is even faster, so the company pushed pricing up by $50. ![]() The 5950X has a 3.4 GHz base frequency, a 300 MHz reduction compared to the 3950X, and a 4.9 GHz Precision Boost frequency - a 100 MHz increase that falls just shy of the elusive 5.0 GHz.ĪMD already owns the upper end of the mainstream desktop market when it comes to multithreaded performance, with the previous-gen $749 Ryzen 9 3950X that also comes with 16 cores and 32 threads. AMD Ryzen 5000 Pricing, Specifications, and Release Date Ryzen 9 5950X SpecificationsĪs mentioned above, the $799 Ryzen 9 5950X slots in as AMD's halo product for the mainstream desktop. That obviously won't be long - AMD says the full roster of Ryzen 5000 chips will be available at retail on November 5. As usual, we won't know the full story until the chips land in our labs. However, AMD says it still maintains the performance-per-dollar lead and shared some data to back it up. In either case, Intel's Comet Lake chips now have comparatively lower price points than AMD's Ryzen 5000 lineup. However, the XT family doesn't really represent AMD's best value chips its own Ryzen 3000 series, which comes at much lower price points, holds that crown. As a result, AMD has pushed pricing up by $50 across the stack compared to its Ryzen XT models. AMD now positions Ryzen as the premium brand and says it has the benchmarks to prove it. AMD has already chomped away at Intel's desktop PC market share with the previous-gen Ryzen 3000 chips, and that was before AMD could lay claim to the fastest gaming CPUs.Īs odd as it sounds, Intel may have one hidden advantage - pricing. Intel is stuck with its Comet Lake chips for five long months to try to fend off the Ryzen 5000 lineup until Rocket Lake arrives in Q1 2021, which doesn't bode well. AMD says this chip beats the 10900K by even more impressive margins in gaming. ![]() The $549 Ryzen 9 5900X slots in as the more mainstream contender, at least by AMD's rather extreme definition of 'mainstream,' with 12 cores and 24 threads that boost up to 4.8 GHz. AMD says this chip is faster than Intel's 10-core Core i9-10900K in pretty much everything, which isn't surprising - Intel has no equivalent for the mainstream desktop. This chip boosts up to 4.9 GHz, has 64MB of unified 元 cache, and a 105W TDP rating. AMD's assault begins with the beastly 16-core 32-thread Ryzen 9 5950X that will retail for $799. Amp price gemini12/11/2023 ![]() First, near the bottom of the GEMINI’s stand section, one finds an inset, forward-facing, single-ended 6.35mm headphone output jack and a rear-facing, balanced-output, four-pin XLR headphone output jack. ![]() The GEMINI closely matches the general look and feel of the Klutz stand so that, from a distance, you could mistake one product for the other, but as you draw closer to the GEMINI salient differences soon become apparent. ![]() The Klutz stand design features a tall, slender, sculptural ‘tower’ with a rounded top section: the tower, in turn, is mounted upon a thick, cylinder shaped, polished metal plinth. The tall, curvaceous CanCan stand has long been a personal favourite for several reasons: first, it is beautiful second, its gently rounded top section provides great support for headphones without creasing or crimping their headband pads and third, its clever forward-facing posts serve as a handy ‘spool’ around which signal cables can be coiled for safe-keeping (you’d be amazed to learn how many headstand stand makers forget all about this important feature, leaving cables coiled up in a heap on the table or floor). The most visually striking part of the GEMINI is the stand section, the design for which has been licensed from the Swedish firm Klutz Design (whose famous headphone stand is known as the CanCan). The result is the GEMINI 2000 headphone amp/DAC/stand (£1,890), which-apart from its technical merits-is a lovely audio Objet d’Art. Recognising this, AURALiC founder and chief designer Xuanqian Wang set out to build an elegant, one-piece headphone amp/DAC solution that would offer much of the performance of the TAURUS Mk II/VEGA pair, yet would sell for less than half the price. Terrific performers though both units are, they are priced somewhat beyond reach for many ‘headphonistas’-even ones who care very deeply about sound quality. Two of the first AURALiC products reviewed by Hi-Fi+ were the firm’s superb TAURUS Mk II balanced-output headphone amplifier (£1,499) and VEGA digital audio processor (£2,890). This potentially makes the IPD2220 particularly useful for installation in locations with poor lighting. ![]() The main difference between the two models is the low-light performance: the LD2222 is rated down to 0.6 lux while the IPD2220 is specified to produce useful images at down to 0.2 lux, due to what LILIN calls “Sense UP+” low-light technology. This is a well-designed app that has some nice features, such as control over the camera’s flash LED, a range of resolution options, and the ability to switch between front-facing and rear-facing cameras. In this blog post we review a few such apps, which work with our Mac NVR software SecuritySpy. Caramelized pear tart puff pastry12/11/2023 ![]() Our ultimate Nerds with Knives guide to buying and cooking with pears Eddie Izzard knows what we’re talking about (warning, bad words, but said in a British accent so really quite charming). They’ll be rock hard for weeks and then, boom, mush. One thing you may have noticed about pears, they are impossible to catch at perfect ripeness. If you have honey leftover, it’s fantastic on cheese, brushed onto pizza crust, drizzled over fruit. Once the pear tarts are cooked, drizzle them with spicy honey. A drizzle of spicy honey gives these an unexpected kick. Scoring a rim and poking the middle of the puff pastry gives these a clean look. This keeps the goat cheese from drying out (and if you use blue, it will keep it from melting into a puddle). We like to crumble the cheese (we used goat, but blue cheese would also be fantastic) over the hot tarts as soon as they’re out of the oven rather than bake them with the cheese on. Then when you’re ready, brush the edges with egg and bake them off. You can even assemble the tarts, cover them with plastic wrap, and refrigerate them overnight. The caramelized onions can be made a day or two ahead, the pears can be roasted the hours or even the day before, and the chili honey will last for weeks in the refrigerator. The great thing is that several of the elements can be made days, even weeks in advance. We used Bosc pears (shown here), which keep their shape when cooked into pear tarts. Easy peasy.Īlso, don’t forget to check out our tips for buying and cooking pears below. The toppings can be made in advance and even assembled the day before, so all you need to do the day of the party is pop them in the oven. It’s so satisfying that these tarts, maybe with a simple cheese board, are all you need to wow and satisfy your guests. ![]() We recently found a combination that requires a little more prep time, but is so worth it: roasted pears, caramelized red onions, goat cheese and chili-infused honey. It’s a matter of minutes to throw a few ingredients onto a pastry square and bake it. In fact, the day before a party, we often defrost a box just on the off chance that we’ll need to make more vittles. That’s when a time-saver like puff pastry sheets becomes our best friend in the kitchen. While we love throwing parties around the holidays, we inevitably get so busy that what we envisioned as a relaxed morning of prepping nibbles ends up being a scramble to get food on the table before our famished guests start experimentally sprinkling salt and pepper on the cats. Here’s how we fell in love with pear tarts. A drizzle of spicy chili-honey puts it over the top. These are what you want for a holiday party: buttery puff pastry pear tarts topped with balsamic-caramelized red onions and goat cheese crumbles.
